I highly recommend this recipe. I NEVER fry things, or make gf things. I was given Hanukkah as my holiday to teach for my son's 1st grade class. 1 student is gf, so I made these for her. (purchased jelly donuts for the rest of the kids.) I made these, the inside was raw, even if the outside was DARK. We finally tried microwaving each raw donut for 25 seconds before frying. That was the trick to it! They were very good. The dough is not sweet, next time I will add more sugar. I filled them with strawberry jam and rolled them in powdered sugar. The gf and dairy-free kids that ate them loved them. And honestly, they were better than the store bought regular donuts.
