You don’t need to be in Texas to enjoy these delicious, perfectly seasoned Beef tacos๐ŸŒฎThank you to our beautiful amigos from Texas for introducing us to some amazing foods! We hope y’all enjoy this recipe and especially that CRUNCH ๐Ÿค
๐Ÿ›‘I’m Stephanie and behind the camera, you have my sister Cloud. I started cooking at 4 years of age. What?! Yes (LOL) I pulled up a chair and my first choice was to fry an egg. I was hungry and thatโ€™s all I have to say about that experience. I would like to say Iโ€™m completely self-taught in the kitchen, but I have the lovely women in my family to thank. They taught me to honor my ancestors and to make my Mexican Cuisine comfortable for my home. I thank our creator for my curiosity and my never-ending search for the next gastronomic satiation. Cooking is a huge part of my daily life as I prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for my two American Korean/Mexican boys. I know who does that these days? Me, I homeschool my two boys and Iโ€™m grateful for every moment spent. โค๏ธ If you love our recipes, Please take the time to Subscribe and support our channel. Cameron Laine says:

Ground beef soaks up liquid so making them like this makes it WAYYY to oily. The only thing that should be cooked in the oil is the tortillas.

CookingTips says:

Local mexican restaurant raised their price on crispy hard tacos to $4.50 each so now I have to learn how to make them haha.

Jennifer Mitchell says:

I made these last night and absolutely LOVED them! They were perfect, SO crunchy and flavorful! Only change is I added some chopped cilantro and some crushed red pepper flakes to the meat mixture (LOVE cilantro!). Have never made tacos this way (fried with the meat), and it truly is the trick to the crunch. And the ground beef doesn't fall out everywhere. I filled with some grated cheddar, chopped onions, more cilantro, lettuce and my own salsa. Next time I'm going to try a layer of refried beans over the meat. Thanks much!!!

mick smith says:

I'm a man and I just thought this was wonderful. I love authentic mexican food.

Sunny Romano says:

This is how my favorite Mexican restaurant makes thier tacos. Now i can do it at home since it is always an hour wait at the restaurant! Have you girls ever thought of opening up your own place or food truck? You would kill it!

Alfredo Gomez-Beloz says:

I tried this for the first time today. I did the oil soak of the tortillas. However, they split at the bend. How do I stop this? Warm them up first before being put in oil? They were good, though. Family enjoyed them.

My husband who learned to cook as a kid, by always watching his mom cook, is the main cook of the house and makes these often(and damn can he cook!). He said that he is mad at you for giving this secret taco recipe away though, lol. He also said that you are working harder on those than he does, making the tortillas soft ahead of time and said you really don't need to do that… he just puts the meat on the tortillas like you do and when its time to fry them he grabs one by opposite ends and dips the center of the taco in the hot grease until it is pliable then it can be folded over easily into the pan. He definitely uses less grease than you do though, only cooking 4 -5 tacos at a time. He also wants to let everyone know out there that wants to try these, that they should, because they are easy to make and everyone that tries them, loves them and to PLEASE DON'T WORRY about them turning out raw. The best way to tell if the beef is done… the sizzling slows way down… basically, they're not as noisy as when you first put them in. His mom would also alternate the meat using a meaty chorizo instead of beef. Ground chicken or turkey works too.
