Japanese Pork Bowl (Tokachi Butadon)

Thanks! Share it with your friends!

Tokachi-style Butadon(十勝豚丼), a specialty of Obihiro city in Hokkaido, is a mouthwatering Japanese pork bowl that’s made by grilling thick slices of rich pork belly and glazing it in a caramelized sweet and savory sauce before serving it over a bed of rice. In this video recipe, I’m going to show you how to make it at home without a grill.

You can find most of the kitchen and camera gear I used to make this video in my Amazon shop. Buying things from my shop (even stuff you search for that’s not listed on the page) doesn’t cost you anything extra and it helps to support this channel.

Heyy, I've been binging your videos quite a lot lately☺and I really want to try your recipe. I was wondering abt the torch part. I don't have a torch, so I was wondering are they really necessary for this recipe? If so, do you have any another alternative? I didn't want to bother my parents on buying one since I'm not sure of how often I will use them. I hope you'll respond even though I know it's a quite late. Arigatou gozaimasu!😁
