Slow Cooker Olive Garden Chicken Pasta {Fun and new recipe to try!}

Such an easy pasta dinner! We love this with breadsticks and olive garden style salad.


1.5 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breast (1.5-2 pounds works fine)
16 oz. Olive Garden Italian dressing (or any Italian dressing you like)
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
8 oz. cream cheese

ΒΌ tsp. black pepper
Add these items after cooking time is up:
16 oz. penne pasta (cooked according to package directions and drain well)
ΒΌ cup parmesan cheese

6-quart or larger

Add the chicken breasts to the slow cooker.
Pour over the Olive Garden Italian dressing and sprinkle over the parmesan cheese.
Place the cream cheese on top.
Place the lid on the slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 5-6 hours.
When the cooking time is almost done, start cooking the pasta on the stovetop as directed on the package.
Shred the chicken with 2 forks. Drain the pasta and add to the chicken and sauce. Stir. Sprinkle over the remaining parmesan cheese.
Serve and enjoy!

Taking suggestion from Jessie's comment I used a 2 cup measuring cup, put 4/3 cup of dressing and filled rest with mushroom broth bc I didn't have anything else. Bc I like spicy I took suggestion from Not another cooking show and blended Calabrian pepper with a little liquid and healthy pinch of red pepper into liquid. Used thin chicken breasts. I added 4 tablespoons of grated pecorino romano cheese. Shredded chicken when it was ready to. Added cream cheese last 30 minutes. Liquid seems thin though the penne pasta soaks it up when it sits in the sauce. serve and dress with more grated cheese. I did not add any extra salt bc of the peppers and cheese. Sauce can also be used as a base for chicken/rice casserole and is just as delicious.

This is my second time making this. The 1st time in the crockpot and the 2nd time on the stove in a non stick pan. It’s less salty when you cook it on the stove. Also to save time just buy a rotisserie chicken at your local grocery store and shred it in the sauce before adding the noodles!!

I made this today. I gotta be honest, my family and I didn't like it. It's one of those things that has too much flavor so it's overwhelming. It definitely looks and smells good though. I'm glad we tried it.

I always add frozen broccoli and chopped fresh onion! I do one whole bottle of sauce but 1 and 1/2 sticks of cream cheese to make it creamier

Has anybody tried to cook this on the stove if they don’t have a slow pressure cooker

I tried this from another site,and it was awful !! I am a great scratch cook,and I even added fresh baby spinach,a can of cream of mushroom soup,after tasting the horrible tangy Italian dressing taste. I would use less than half a bottle1/2 cup maybe,and add chicken broth to make up the difference Then again,I would much rather make it Chicken Alfredo! Sorry!
