Fresh Seer Fish/King Fish (Surmai/Neymeen)-500 gm (made in Konkan Style)
Dried mango pieces-4-6
Fenugreek seeds-1 spoon
Mustard seeds-1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder-1 spoon
Grated coconut-1 medium
Dried red chillies-25 gms
Add grated coconut to mixer jar, wash dried red chillies and add to the jar, wash coriander and add to the jar, add turmeric powder to the jar, add garlic to the jar, add little water and grind (Tip: grind masala in small quantity at a time).
Heat a pan, add fengureek seeds, add Mustard seeds, after roasting add this two things to the jar and grind for 30 seconds, now add chopped onion to the jar and grind for 15 seconds.
Take a vessel, add grinded masala, add water until consistency, add dried mango, cut green chilli vertically by the side and add, add water by checking thickness consistency of the gravy, add salt, if needed add two more dried mango and salt for sourness, bring to boil, add fish, cook for five minutes, take the vessel off the stove and keep it aside for five minutes with lid closed. Our Seer Fish Gravy is ready.
